Matched to a room of 70m², the Toshiba SHORAI Edge 7.0kW is a wall mounted split system that cools in summer and heats in winter. Its slim indoor unit hangs on the wall and connects to an outdoor unit with an inverter compressor.
Heating and cooling for a large room
Large rooms can overheat in summer and feel chilly in winter, and this system tackles both by switching between cooling and heating. It performs from -15°C to +46°C, and Toshiba designed it for homes, with a discreet flat panel and dimming lights.
7kW cooling and 8kW heating
It provides 7kW (24000 BTU) of cooling and 8kW (27000 BTU) of heating. The rotary inverter compressor slows down once the room reaches temperature instead of cutting in and out, and the Hi Power booster brings a hot or cold room to your setting fast.
Quiet modes and a weekly timer
At night, Quiet Indoor Mode keeps indoor noise to a minimum, and Silent Mode halves the outdoor unit's sound level. Settings are handled from the wireless remote control, which has a weekly timer and HADA-CARE air distribution, or over Wi-Fi with the Toshiba Home AC Control adapter.
Pipework, power and an F-Gas installer
It must be installed by an F-Gas registered installer, with 1/4" and 1/2" pipework carrying R32 refrigerant between the two units. An electrician provides 230V power to the indoor or outdoor unit, usually through an isolator switch. Water drawn from the air drains by gravity through the wall or via a pump.
