These terms apply to purchases from aircareappliances.co.uk. A consumer buys wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Terms specifically marked for business customers apply only to business purchases. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts mandatory consumer rights.

Orders and availability

We send an acknowledgement when you order. This confirms receipt of your order, not acceptance. We accept your order when we dispatch the goods and confirm dispatch to you. If we cannot accept an order because of availability, an error or another legitimate reason, we will tell you promptly and refund any payment. We will not substitute goods or change an agreed price without your approval.

We aim to keep stock information accurate. If an item is unavailable, we will explain the options, including any suitable alternative and its price. You can decline an alternative. The terms agreed when you order apply to that order; later updates do not retrospectively change your contract.

Advice, quotations and specifications

Contact our team for help choosing a product. Tell us about your intended use and installation requirements so we can give relevant advice. Complex projects may need advice from a suitably qualified installer or consultant. This does not remove our responsibility for the accuracy of information we give or your rights where you reasonably rely on our advice.

Our formal quotations are normally valid for 30 days from issue. We will explain any correction to a pricing or clerical error before you agree to proceed. Product descriptions and manufacturer specifications help you choose; check dimensions and any installation clearances carefully. Images and screen colours may vary, but the goods supplied must match their description and any agreed specification. We will not use a later specification change to remove your contractual or statutory rights.

Prices, payment and price matching

Consumer prices include VAT where applicable. Where an excluding-VAT price is also displayed, it is labelled. The total payable, including any agreed delivery charge, is shown before you place your order. Offers are subject to availability.

Our Price Match Promise matches the price, including delivery, of the same item offered cheaper by a UK competitor, subject to verification of the price and availability. Contact us before completing your purchase so we can check the offer.

Use the payment methods offered at checkout. To pay by bank transfer (BACS), contact us for a pro forma invoice; payment is required before dispatch. Available payment methods may depend on the order and payment provider.

Delivery

Delivery to England, Scotland and Wales costs £8.99 for orders up to 30kg and £35 for orders over 30kg. Our shipping policy sets out the charges for other destinations, and the exact charge is shown at checkout before you pay. Destinations not listed there require a quotation before ordering. In-stock items have an estimated delivery time of 2–4 working days to England, Scotland and Wales, 3–5 working days to Northern Ireland and 2–11 working days to the Republic of Ireland, excluding weekends and public holidays. Product-specific estimates take precedence. Estimates are not guarantees.

Standard delivery is kerbside. Give us an accurate address, tell us about access restrictions before ordering and arrange to receive and safely move heavy goods. See our shipping policy for delivery preparation, tracking and delays.

For consumer purchases, goods remain our responsibility until you or someone you nominate takes physical possession, unless you independently appoint a carrier we did not offer. Unless another delivery period is agreed, we must deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract. If we miss a delivery deadline, your legal cancellation rights apply. You may normally give us an appropriate further deadline, then cancel if we miss it; you may cancel immediately where we refuse delivery or an essential agreed deadline is missed.

Consumer cancellation and refunds

For online or telephone purchases, you can normally cancel without giving a reason up to 14 days after the day you receive the goods, then send them back within a further 14 days. You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Original packaging and a returns number are not conditions of your statutory rights. A lawful, proportionate deduction may apply for loss in value caused by excessive handling; no consumer restocking fee applies.

For a valid consumer cancellation, we refund the goods and any basic outbound delivery charge paid. Refunds are made without undue delay and within 14 days after we receive the goods back or evidence of return, whichever is earlier. If we offer collection or no goods were supplied, the deadline is 14 days after cancellation. We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, with no refund fee.

See our return and refund policy for the full cancellation process, exceptions, return transport costs and faulty-goods rights. That policy forms part of these terms.

Business cancellations

Consumer cooling-off rights do not apply to business purchases. Change-of-mind business returns require our written agreement and a restocking fee, usually 15% of the total transaction, as agreed. New and unused goods must be returned at the business customer’s expense within the agreed period. This does not replace remedies for faulty or misdescribed goods under the applicable contract and law.

Damaged or faulty goods

Tell us promptly if goods arrive damaged or develop a fault. Photos can help, but signing for a delivery, not marking it unchecked, or not retaining packaging does not remove your statutory rights. We remain responsible for your claim; manufacturer assistance is optional and does not replace your rights against us.

Consumers normally have 30 days to reject faulty, misdescribed or unfit goods for a full refund. After that, repair or replacement and, where applicable, a price reduction or final rejection may be available. We cover reasonable return costs for faulty goods. Any refund due following rejection is paid without undue delay and within 14 days of our agreeing that you are entitled to it. See the return and refund policy for details.

Complaints

Please contact us using the email, telephone or registered office address above. Explain the problem and include your order details if available. If we cannot resolve your complaint, we will provide information about an appropriate alternative dispute resolution provider and tell you whether we are willing or obliged to use it. You may also seek advice from Citizens Advice or pursue your legal remedies.

Events outside our control and liability

Severe weather, transport disruption, supply interruptions and other events outside our reasonable control can cause delays. We will tell you, take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and discuss your options. These events do not suspend or remove your statutory cancellation or refund rights.

For consumers, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where the law imposes liability, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

For business purchases only, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption and loss of business opportunity, to the extent permitted by law. The exclusions in this paragraph do not apply to consumers.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we use personal information to process orders and payments, arrange delivery, provide support and operate our website, as well as your rights and choices.

Electrical recycling

When you buy a new electrical item from us, we offer free acceptance and disposal of your old appliance on a like-for-like basis. Return the old item within 28 days of buying the new one. If you prefer, we can arrange collection for £18.99 including VAT per item. Please tell us when placing your new order if you wish to use this service and ensure the old appliance is ready for collection.

Website content and applicable law

Website content, photographs and videos belong to us or their respective owners. Please obtain permission before reusing material where required by copyright law.

These terms are governed by English law. Consumers retain the mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to them where they live in the UK.
