Information we collect

  • Contact and order details, including your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address, telephone number, purchases, delivery instructions, returns and customer-service messages.
  • Account and preference information that you provide, such as account contact details, saved preferences and marketing choices.
  • Payment and transaction information needed to process your purchase or refund. Payment providers process payment credentials according to the method you choose.
  • Device and website-use information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages and products viewed, basket activity, purchase events and cookie or similar identifiers.
  • Reviews, enquiries and other information you choose to submit.

We receive information directly from you, from your use of the website, and from service providers involved in payments, delivery, reviews and operating the store. You do not have to provide optional information, but we need the relevant contact, delivery and payment details to fulfil an order.

How and why we use information

  • To take and fulfil orders, process payments and refunds, arrange delivery and provide order support: performance of our contract with you, or steps you request before entering a contract.
  • To keep tax and accounting records and respond to valid legal requirements: compliance with our legal obligations.
  • To answer general enquiries, maintain and secure the store, prevent fraud, manage complaints and protect legal rights: our legitimate interests in running a reliable, secure business and resolving disputes, balanced against your rights.
  • To send marketing that you have requested and use optional advertising or analytics technologies where consent is required: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time. Where the law permits marketing about our own similar products to existing customers without prior consent, we rely on our legitimate interests in promoting those products and provide an opt-out.

Who receives information

We share relevant information with Shopify, which hosts our store; payment providers for the method you select; couriers and suppliers fulfilling your order; and service providers supporting our website, customer communications and reviews. Professional advisers, regulators and public authorities may receive information where necessary for legal obligations or the protection of legal rights.

Our store includes Google & YouTube and Facebook & Instagram integrations for advertising and measurement, Judge.me for reviews, and Replo for page functionality. The website also displays reviews through REVIEWS.io. These services may receive device, browsing, event or transaction information relevant to their functions and your privacy choices. Review content you choose to publish can be visible to other visitors. Third-party services also explain their own data use in their privacy notices.

Shopify services and personalisation

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for this store. Shopify uses information from interactions with our store alongside information from other Shopify merchants to improve services, advertising and personalisation. Shopify acts as a separate controller for certain uses of that information. Read Shopify’s consumer privacy policy and use Shopify’s privacy portal for its privacy rights and advertising choices.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies and similar technologies support essential functions such as the basket, checkout, security and remembering privacy choices. Optional technologies can support analytics, personalisation and advertising. Where consent is legally required, it must be given before those technologies are used; continuing to browse is not consent.

Our Shopify cookie banner is configured for visitors in the United Kingdom. Use its controls to accept or reject optional categories and manage your choices. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect essential features. If you cannot find a preference control or need help withdrawing consent, contact us. A cookie choice does not automatically unsubscribe you from email marketing.

International processing

Shopify and other service providers may process information outside the UK. Transfers must use a lawful mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, where required. Shopify describes its international processing and safeguards in its privacy policy. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to our processing and how to obtain a copy.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose of the information: fulfilling orders, handling returns and warranties, maintaining an account or enquiry history, meeting tax and accounting obligations, resolving disputes and observing applicable legal claim periods. Marketing preferences may need to be retained to honour an unsubscribe request. Contact us if you need information about retention for a particular record.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Some rights have exceptions, for example where we must keep transaction records to comply with the law.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop using your information for that purpose. Use an unsubscribe link in a marketing message or contact us using the details above.

Requests are normally free. For access requests, we respond without undue delay and normally within one month. A further two months may be allowed for complex or multiple requests; we will explain any extension within the first month. We may need proportionate identity checks or clarification. A reasonable fee or refusal is permitted only in limited circumstances allowed by law, such as a manifestly unfounded or excessive request, and we will explain the reason.

Questions and complaints

Please contact us about any concern with your information. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO complaints service. You do not need our permission to do so.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our data practices or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. See our contact information for our business details.
