Built around a single indoor and outdoor unit, the Toshiba SHORAI Edge 3.5kW cools and heats a room of up to around 35m². A New Ultra Pure Filter is rated to capture up to 94% of PM2.5 particles for cleaner indoor air.
A single unit for a mid-sized room
Many homes have one room that needs its own cooling and heating, without a large system to fit. This model suits a room of up to around 35m², and a DC (direct current) rotary inverter compressor adjusts its output to match demand rather than switching fully on and off.
3.5kW cooling, A+++ rated
Cooling output is 3.5kW (12000 BTU) and heating output is 4.2kW (14000 BTU), with efficiency rated up to A+++ in both modes. The system also works with both Monosplit and Multisplit outdoor units, giving some choice over how it is fitted.
Silent mode for a calmer room
Sound from the indoor unit stays between 19 and 43 dB(A), depending on the mode, while Silent mode halves the noise coming from the outdoor unit. Wi-Fi control is available as an option, linking the system to the Toshiba Home AC Control app.
What the installation needs
The indoor unit pairs with its outdoor unit, connected with 1/4" and 3/8" pipework on a 230V mains supply. The system runs on R32 refrigerant and must be safely installed and properly commissioned by a suitably qualified F-Gas registered installer.
