The Toshiba SHORAI Edge 3.5kW is a wall mounted split system that cools and heats a single room, suited to spaces of up to around 35m². Its New Ultra Pure Filter is rated to capture up to 94% of PM2.5 particles.
One system for one room
A single indoor and outdoor unit pair handles both cooling in summer and heating in winter, so there is no need for separate equipment. The SHORAI Edge 3.5kW is sized for a room of up to around 35m², with a DC (direct current) rotary inverter compressor at its core.
3.5kW cooling, A+++ rated
Cooling output is 3.5kW (12000 BTU) and heating output is 4.2kW (14000 BTU), both rated up to A+++ for efficiency. The system is compatible with both Monosplit and Multisplit outdoor arrangements, giving some flexibility over how and where it is installed.
Quiet running with Silent mode
Indoor sound runs from 19 dB(A) in Quiet mode up to 43 dB(A) on the highest fan setting, and Silent mode halves the noise from the outdoor unit. Wi-Fi control is available as an option, connecting to the Toshiba Home AC Control app.
What the installation needs
The indoor unit pairs with its outdoor unit, joined by 1/4" and 3/8" pipework, on a 230V supply. It uses R32 refrigerant and, being a split system, it must be safely and correctly installed and commissioned by an F-Gas registered installer.
