Built around a single indoor and outdoor unit, the Toshiba SHORAI Edge 2.5kW cools and heats a room of up to around 25m². Its New Ultra Pure Filter is rated to capture up to 94% of PM2.5 particles for cleaner indoor air.
Sized for a single room
Cooling and heating one room does not need a large system when the indoor and outdoor units are matched to the space. This model suits rooms of up to around 25m², and a DC (direct current) rotary inverter compressor adjusts its output to match demand rather than switching fully on and off.
2.5kW cooling, A+++ rated
Cooling output is 2.5kW (9000 BTU) and heating output is 3.2kW (11000 BTU), with efficiency rated up to A+++ in both modes. Flexible installation is available too, since the system works with both Monosplit and Multisplit outdoor arrangements, whichever suits the room better.
Quiet running, day or night
Sound from the indoor unit stays between 19 and 50 dB(A) depending on the fan setting, and Silent mode halves the noise coming from the outdoor unit. Wi-Fi control is available as an option, connecting the system to the Toshiba Home AC Control app.
What the installation needs
The indoor unit works alongside its outdoor unit, linked by 1/4" and 3/8" pipework on a 230V mains supply. The system runs on R32 refrigerant and must be safely and properly installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified F-Gas registered installer.
