Description
The Meaco DD8L is a desiccant dehumidifier that removes up to 7.5 litres of moisture a day from flats and homes of up to five bedrooms. It keeps drying in rooms as cold as 1°C, where compressor models can lose efficiency.
Dries damp homes and unheated spaces
Excess moisture in the air settles as condensation and leaves rooms feeling damp. The DD8L protects flats and larger homes against it, and its low-temperature performance makes it just as useful in garages, cellars, caravans, motorhomes, boats and holiday homes. It is particularly handy in spaces that are not heated all the time.
7.5 litres a day, down to 1°C
Measured at 20°C and 60% relative humidity, the DD8L removes up to 7.5 litres of water a day while drawing 330W. Once the room reaches the humidity you have set, it checks the air before switching its fan off to save energy, then samples again after 30 minutes and only restarts when it is needed.
Quiet at night, handy on wash day
You can choose the quieter fan setting on its own, without changing your humidity level, so it can run gently through the night; depending on the mode, it runs at 39 to 48 dB(A). Laundry Mode dries washing indoors faster and removes the moisture it releases. An anti-bacterial dust filter and a built-in ioniser help clean the air as it passes through.
Easy to empty, drain or wall mount
Water collects in a 2 litre tank that switches the dehumidifier off when it is full, and a splash-proof cover keeps emptying clean. Where emptying by hand is inconvenient, set it up for continuous drainage instead. At 6.4kg it is easy to move from room to room, and it can be wall mounted where floor space is tight, such as in offices, studios and laundry areas.
