Returns & Damage Reporting Policy
We want to ensure every customer receives their order in perfect condition. To help us resolve any delivery issues quickly and effectively, we kindly ask all customers — both consumers and business buyers — to inspect their goods within 24 hours of delivery.
Inspection & Damage Reporting – All Customers
Please check your delivery carefully upon arrival. If there is any visible damage, defect, or missing item, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery by contacting:

Why this matters: Most courier services require damage claims to be submitted within 24–48 hours. Reporting issues promptly allows us to raise a claim on your behalf and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may result in the claim being rejected, and we may be unable to offer a refund or replacement beyond this point.
Returns & Cancellations – Consumer Customers (Private Individuals)
If you are a consumer and have simply changed your mind, you are entitled to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, under your statutory cooling-off period.
To be eligible for a full refund:
- unused, in original packaging, and in a resalable condition
- partial refund may apply
Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
Returns – Business Customers (Trade / Commercial Buyers)
For all business purchases, cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations do not apply. We do not accept returns for change-of-mind purchases on business orders unless agreed in writing at our discretion.
Any issues or damage must still be reported within 24 hours of delivery, as outlined above.

The MeacoDry Arete® One combines powerful moisture control with thoughtful, home-friendly design. Developed by Meaco’s British design team using feedback from more than 2,000 customers, it is designed to tackle condensation, damp and mould without feeling like an industrial appliance. Its discreet design can sit flush against a wall and integrates neatly into everyday living spaces.
Control Damp, Mould and Condensation
Arete® helps maintain a more comfortable humidity level by removing excess moisture from the air. It is ideal for homes affected by condensation, persistent damp, mould or generally high humidity. It can also be used in conservatories, garages, boats, caravans, workshops and unheated basements.
Dehumidifier and Air Purifier in One
Air care does not have to stop when humidity falls. The included H13 HEPA filter captures airborne particles while the unit dehumidifies and allows Arete® to operate as a standalone air purifier. This gives you a practical 2-in-1 appliance designed for year-round use.
Exceptionally Quiet Operation
Operating at just 40dB(A) on its quieter setting, Arete® is designed for spaces where noise matters. This makes it particularly useful around bedrooms, home offices and living areas. Two fan speeds allow you to balance quieter operation with increased airflow when required.
Night Mode for Undisturbed Operation
Night Mode reduces the fan to its quiet low setting and switches off the unit's lights. Button sounds are also eliminated to minimise unnecessary disturbance. A child lock helps prevent settings from being accidentally changed.
Smart, Simple Humidity Control
The straightforward control panel keeps everyday operation uncomplicated. Large buttons provide quick access to frequently used functions including Smart Humidity Control and Smart Laundry. The variable humidistat can be adjusted between 40% and 70% RH.
Make Laundry Drying Easier
Smart Laundry mode provides a practical way to help dry clothes indoors. By removing moisture released into the surrounding air, Arete® can support the drying process while helping prevent that moisture contributing to condensation elsewhere in your home. It is particularly useful when outdoor drying is impractical.
Easy-to-Empty 4.8-Litre Tank
A generous 4.8-litre water tank reduces the inconvenience of frequent emptying. Large finger slots, an integrated carrying handle and pouring points on either side make handling the tank straightforward. The design helps make one of the most frequent dehumidifier tasks quicker and easier.
Continuous Drainage Option
For longer-term operation, Arete® supports continuous drainage using its hose adaptor and a standard garden hose. This allows collected water to drain away automatically rather than accumulating in the tank. A compatible Arete® pump is also available separately where water needs to be pumped upwards.
Energy-Efficient Everyday Performance
At 20°C and 60% RH, the unit consumes just 267 watts of power. That is approximately 0.267kW, helping make Arete® practical for regular household use. Based on the supplied electricity rate of 26.11p/kWh, estimated running cost is approximately 7p per hour.
Made for Everyday Living
At 16kg, Arete® combines substantial performance with concealed castors for easier positioning. Its furniture-inspired feet and clean exterior help it blend naturally into the home rather than looking like commercial equipment. The operating range of 5°C to 35°C also makes it suitable for a wide variety of environments.
